Anytime you have a list of points, tips, best practices, or procedures; always take a few minutes before showing the video and ask your audience to give their list. And type out their responses on the computer screen, write them on a white board, flip chart, or just speak up and say it out load. However you do it, the most important thing is that people are talking and participating. Pitch it this way: See if you can come up with more than 8. Or alternatively, See if you can come up with a better list. This is fun because people always want to be smarter than the video. Of course, there are certainly more than 8 things people should know. This is a starting point for the discussion. Add the points that you would like to make from your experience. Have fun and get people talking in your toolbox talk training!
